1. How many suitcases/bags can I check in?

You can take up to three items per passenger.

You can buy 3 x 15kg or 3 x 20kg.

 

2. What is the cost of a 15kg bag?

A 15kg bag with flights more than 4 hours costs €15 / £15 online and via our call centre.

There is an additional cost €30 / £30 at the airport.

A 15kg bag with flights less than 4 hours costs €10 / £10 online and via our call centre. 

There is an additional cost €20 / £20 at the airport.

 

3. What is the cost of a 20kg bag?

A 20kg bag with flights more than 4 hours costs €25 / £25 online and via our call centre. 

There is an additional cost €40 / £40 at the airport.

A 20kg bag with flights less than 4 hours costs €15 / £15 online and via our call centre. 

There is an additional cost €25 / £25 at the airport.

 

4. What is the cost of an extra baggage per kg (kilo)?

Extra baggage fees cost €5 / £5 per kilo.

 

5. I have a reservation and I need to add an extra piece of baggage on the return flight only, how can I do that?

As long as the total number of bags checked in is less than 3 pieces then you don’t need to do anything. If you need to check in a fourth bag then you can purchase it  through the call centre. 

 

6. I have added an extra suitcase but I need to cancel it, will I get the amount refunded?

No, there is no refund in this case. 

 

7. What cabin baggage am I allowed to carry?

You are allowed to carry standard size carry-on baggage with maximum dimensions 56 x 45 x 25cm. 

 

8. How much weight am I allowed to carry on the cabin baggage?

There is 10 kg weight restriction on the cabin baggage. 

 

9. What is my checked baggage allowance?

You can take up three items per passenger provided their total weight does not exceed the purchased baggage allowance.

 

10. Can I carry additional hand baggage?

Yes, you can carry either a handbag OR a laptop bag on board apart from your cabin baggage. The dimensions of the additional bag must not exceed 45 x 35 x 15. 

 

11. Can I carry a musical instrument?

Yes, musical instruments are allowed on Cobalt flights and are considered as a cabin luggage. Charges may apply. 

 

12. Can I carry a hunting/Olympic shooting gun?

Yes, you can check in a hunting/Olympic shooting gun on Cobalt flights and are considered as a cabin luggage. Charges may apply. 

 

13. Can I carry sports equipment e.g. balls, bats, racquets etc with me?

Yes, you may carry sports equipment provided it fits into the cabin baggage with dimensions of 56 x 45 x 25.

 

14. Can I carry my liquid medicine in my checked baggage?

Yes, you may carry your liquid medicine in your checked bag.

 

15. Can I carry my liquid medicine in my cabin bag?

Yes, provided you carry it in containers that hold less than 100ml in volume. In special cases, the airport authorities may allow larger containers provided its for medicine.

 

16. Can I carry fragile items e.g. tools, kitchenware, items with unusual shape/size etc?

Yes, but it is suggested that fragile items should be checked in.

 

17. Can I carry traditional food e.g halloumi, sausages etc?

Depending on the destination you can carry items in airtight bags. Customers must check if any rules apply at their destination.

 

18. What items should not include in my checked baggage?

You should not include: a) fragile and perishable items, b) any other valuables, c) computers and personal electronic devices, d) stored data, e) camera, f) any medication, g) medical equipment and h) any valuable documents such as business documents, passports, certificates, identification documents and negotiate papers etc. 

 

19. Are there are any minor damages I should be aware of checked baggage?

We will be unable to accept liability for damage to baggage due to wear and tear, which includes the following: a) minor cuts, scratches, scuffs, dents, dirt and stains, b) damage to wheels, feet or extending handles, c) damage to fragile or perishable items, d) damage due to over-packed baggage, e) loss of external locks, pull straps, security straps and zipper tabs, f) baggage accepted under the conditions of the Limited Release Tag (LRT) and g) items confiscated by airport authorities and security

 

20. What happens if I need to carry some fragile, perishable items? Is there a way to pack them? 

We accept fragile, perishable, and inadequately-packed baggage upon completion of a Limited Release Baggage Tag. Baggage with pre-existing damage shall likewise be accepted as a Limited Release Baggage. The Limited Release Baggage Tag releases the airline from liabilities on baggage resulting from any pre-existing damage or unsuitability for transport. 

  

21. What should I do if my baggage is lost?

Contact the claims counter usually found in the airport arrivals lounge and report it. A claim can only be done before the customer leaves the airport. 22. What should I do if my baggage is damaged during the journey?

Contact the claims counter usually found in the airport's arrivals area and report it. 23. What should I do if I accidentally take someone else's bag instead of mine?

24. What should I do if someone else accidentally takes my bag instead of his/hers?
